Haven’t posted anything in a while, so here’s a sketch of Scarecrow that I liked.

octopuspiecomic:

Guys! I’m pleased to announce that the newest Octopus Pie book collection, DEAD FOREVER, is now available for Pre-order! Shipping in May.

Octopus Pie books are self-published, and the pre-order is a necessary part of funding the book. So everyone who pre-orders will get a free signature in their book. You’ll also have the option to get a Special Edition book with your favorite character sketched inside, for $7 more. This is the only window to order a signed book - from now until April 15th.

More details about the contents of the book and ordering are here on the store page. (p.s. Toronto peeps: I will try my best to have a stack of books at TCAF! It’s looking likely. Unfortunately, I can’t deliver any online orders to the show.)

Same.

30 Day Challenge // Day 24 // Something That Represents Your Favorite Culture
I’m Buddhist and I’ve always loved the imagery even before I was. The wrathful deities from Tibetan and Mahayana art always fascinated me as a kid. They were like transformations the gods took on in battle. Like a monster magical girl I guess. His is name is Mahakala. Power Prism Make Up.

gingerhaze:

Oh, I know I have it better than a lot of would-be comics buyers, and that’s what worries me. I’ve had it with the self-appointed gatekeepers in comics.

Edit: I had written something here, but I didn’t like or trust the way it sounded. So to be absolutely clear, I agree with gingerhaze.

Twenty Second Day of SAdvent 2013: Sad Songs Say So Much

Jason and his oldest son Aaron sing a traditional SAdvent carol which they just made up.

"O Traurigkeit Baum (The Sadness Tree Song)"

O Sadness Tree
O Sadness Tree
Your branches are so barren
O Sadness Tree
O Sadness Tree
The children you are scarin’

End of the world
And end of me
I’m pondering
O Sadness Tree

O Sadness Tree
O Sadness Tree
Soon
You will burn
